about yoo-jin
Yoo-Jin (she/her/hers) is an advocate, activist, and healer currently residing in Washington D.C. She has her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in both Modern Languages and Linguistics, with a focus in language and cultural studies, and Interdisciplinary Studies, specifically, the psychosocial and cultural perspectives on violence. Her senior research and capstone explored East Asian students' perspectives on intimate relationships and violence.
Yoo-Jin is currently based at American University, where she works with students impacted by substance misuse and addiction. She believes in working with students as whole beings and integrates trauma-informed care and radical self-care into her programming and interventions.
In her free time, Yoo-Jin enjoys practicing yoga & reiki, being out in nature, taking photographs, baking, and traveling anywhere near the ocean and good food.
